The Guitar Foundation of America (GFA) conference met in Denver June 20 – 25, 2016. It was an incredible experience and a very worthwhile event to attend.
I took part in the Guitar Orchestra led by Alex Dunn and we performed Bach’s Prelude No. 22 and the Fugue No. 8 arranged by Heitor Villa-Lobos and adapted by Alex Dunn.
The week was filled with spectacular performances by classical guitarists Jason Vieaux, Thibaut Garcia, Fabio Zanon, Duo Melis, Judicael Perroy, Duo Cancionancias and Benjamin Verdery to name a few. The conference was held at Metro State University and many thanks to Alex Komodore for his tireless work and unending enthusiasm to bring this conference to Denver. Bravo everyone!
