Felicity’s passion for music began at the age of 7 when she began classical guitar lessons in Albuquerque New Mexico with Cuban concert guitarist Hector Garcia. At age 16 she began teaching guitar and knew she would pursue a career in music. After receiving her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of New Mexico, she went on to receive her Master of Arts degree from California State University, Northridge.

She headed the classical guitar department at Colorado Christian University in Lakewood Colorado where she also taught music business, guitar literature and pedagogy for almost 20 years. Along with working well with adults, Felicity’s ability to teach the guitar to very young children keeps her in demand as a private teacher. Felicity’s passion for education led to the formation of her nonprofit “One Voice 4 Change, Inc.”. Her collaboration with Dr. Gregg Cannady was inspired from the idea that each person’s voice can be used for strength and change. Giving Strength through Education to Those Who Need a Voice for Change is the dream this organization is working to achieve. One Voice 4 Change worked with students in Las Varas Mexico last year and has collaborated with The Chacala Cultural Foundation to promote the arts and education to the people of Chacala and the surrounding areas in Mexico. Felicity and Gregg are working with rural Colorado students along with collaborating worldwide with industries, such as Lockheed Martin, to bring global perspectives to students, teachers and parents.
